The 14th Kino Baseball Fall High School League objective is the opportunity for high school programs to evaluate, develop and provide instruction for Jayvee and Varsity level teams. Games are conducted with two umpires and played as a regular game that gives the coaches and players the opportunity evaluate and improve upon skills in a structured and professional game setting.
Class 2024 players are not eligible to play on Jayvee Team.
Continuous Batting order permitted.
No batting line ups required.
Free substitution during the game.
Courtesy runner for the catcher with 2 outs. The runner can be any player. Not going to be as formal with this rule as in the spring and summer.
Inning:
3 outs or 6 batters.
This is done to evaluate and protect pitchers’ arms during the fall period. Also, some teams may not have the pitching depth in the fall due to their athletes playing other sports.
The goal is to play as many innings as can be played in a 2-hour time limit window.
Game Time Limit: 2:00 hours. Start an inning it gets completed.
No formal game score is required—suggestion:
How many innings can your team get 3 outs before the 6-batter limit? —fun thing to keep track of from a team perspective.
No extra innings.
Uniforms: Professional: Players matching colored jerseys—numbers not required for the fall league.
Two umpires are scheduled for each game.
Field is prepared by the league field crews.
Dugouts first come, first serve.
Post Game:
If another game is scheduled at the field, please pick up equipment, clean dugout and hold team meeting outside of the field—please do not conduct meeting on the field while another team is waiting to get settled in for their game.
Clean up all trash and dispose of it in the nearest trash receptacle before you leave the dugout.
All NFHS safety rules will be in effect and ruled upon by the umpires as needed.
Conduct: If a player or coach decides to get ejected during the fall league, the individual must leave the field and go directly to the parking lot—out of sight-out of mind. Individual is suspended for the next scheduled team game. Example: If an individual gets ejected in the first game of doubleheader, they are suspended for the next game and cannot be near the field or go back onto the field after the game is over to meet with the team.
GOAL OF THE FALL INSTRUCTIONAL LEAGUE IS FOR HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS TO EVALUATE AND DEVELOP. THERE WILL NO SCOUTS OR RECRUITERS GOING TO BE PRESENT.
