Fall Weeknight Baseball Leagues-Fees & Rules

Welcome to the Kino Baseball League Weeknight Division for Fall 2025! This developmental league is designed for 11U, 12U, and 13U teams to gain game experience and prepare for weekend tournaments in a competitive yet instructional environment. WEEKNIGHT LEAGUES

The Kino Weeknight League is designed for 11U-12U-13U divisions with the objective of preparing the teams for the upcoming weekend tournament. The weeknight league offers the opportunity for plenty of playing time and repetitiion for the players with the goal of succeeding at their weekend tournament.

Teams wishing to participate understand that although the league is to prep team for weekend tournaments, that the teams and games are competitive. Score and league standings are maintained.

Season is September 15 to November 13

PRE-SEASON MEETING

Monday, September 8, 2025 6:30 PM Doubletree Hotel 445 S. Alvernon. We will review fall league rules and distribute game baseballs.

Fields/Days of Play:

This fall season we have more scheduling flexibility based adding for the 11U-1U Danny Lopez Fields 1 &2 (formerly Christopher Columbus Field) Monday through Thursday, and again permitted Curtis Park

Fields 1 and 2 for Tuesday and Wednesdays.

The 13U division will be scheduled Wednesday nights at Mehl, and the newly renovated field at Fort Lowell Park Monday through Thursdays

With these additional fields and depending on the number of team entries, a specific night for a division may or may not happen. More scheduling flexibility this year.

Game Times

11U-12U Division: With the added fields this year we are looking at 6:30 PM start times
13U Division: Games scheduled at Mehl Park for 6:30 PM
Games scheduled at Fort Lowell Park will schedule to start at 5:30 PM. The city has advised that we will have the lights till 8 PM.

11U & 12U 70 feet bases, 50 feet pitch

13U 80 feet bases, 54 feet pitch

Payment Policy

  1. $500 deposit by AUGUST 17, 2025 holds team spot in the league.
  2. Balance of fee payment by SEPTEMBER 8, 2025 to be placed on the league game schedule.
  3. If full fee payment is not paid by SEPTEMBER 8th, the team will not be placed on the league game schedule, and your $500 deposit will be refunded back to you.

Schedule

The game schedule will be published and out to the teams on/or before September 8th
One (1) game per week.
Post-season Playoffs: Single elimination format
11U – November 10-11-12-13 – Danny Lopez Fields 1 and 2
12U – November 17-18-19-20 – Danny Lopez Fields 1 and 2
13U – To be determined

Forfeit Time

  1. Game time is forfeit time.
  2. Team is required to have 8 players at game time, seven or less players team forfeits
  3. There are no refunds for any forfeited games.

Game Re-Scheduling Fee

  1. Once the game scheduled hs been published and sent to all teams, the schedule becomes official.
  2. $75.00 re-scheduling fee is charge to a team if they request a schedule change during the season. The $75.00 re-scheduling fee is to be paid by the requesting team prior to the team’ next scheduled game.

Insurance

Team is required to submit certificate of insurance.

The league provides excess medical/accident coverage for all registered players only.

The league also provides liability coverage for all registered players.

NOTE:

Player Eligibility

11U Division: Player turning age 12 prior to May 1, 2026 is not eligible for this division, unless the player is in the 5th grade.

12U Division: Player turning 13 prior to May 1, 2026 is not eligible for this division, unless the player is in the 6th grade.

13U Division: Player turning 14 prior to May 1, 2026 is not eligible for this division, unless the player is in the 7th grade.

Players are not permitted to play on multiple teams within the same age division.

Player Waiver

The league insurance requires a waiver for each roster player. The parent/guardian of the player is to register/waiver their player. There is no fee to register/waiver the player.

Registration to open August 1, 2025 & close 11:59 PM October 12, 2025

The registration/waiver process will cover all players for medical and liability coverage.

IMPORTANT: If a player plays on a team whose parents do not register the player, they will NOT be covered under the league medical/accident/liability coverage.

Bat Rule

11U-12U Divisions: USSSA or USA stamp bat

13U Division: USSSA or USA stamp bat must be drop -8

Pitching

11U-12U Division

Pitcher may not pitch more than two (2) innings in a game. Once removed as pitcher, the player is not permitted to return as pitcher.

There is no pitch count

Two (2) trips to the mound in the same inning shall result in the pitcher being removed from the game.

Balks will be called in the 11U and 12U Divisions

13U Division

Pitcher may not pitch more than three (3) innings in a game. Once removed as a pitcher, the player is not permitted to return as a pitcher.

Batting Order

Bat the entire roster present.

Moving batters up or down the line up is not permitted.

Batting order is presented to the home plate umpire prior to each game.

Substitution

There is free substitution througout the game. Players may be removed and return the game as many times as needed.
Player returning to the game must return to the same spot in the batting order.

Game Length

11U-12U Division
Six (6) innings with no new inning starting at 1:50

Last batter at 2:00 time limit. Game concludes after the last batter has completed the at bat.

When the last batter is reached at 2:00 time and it is not the third out of the inning, the score will revert back to the previous inning completed score.

Run Max per inning = 6 runs or 3 outs

13U Division
Seven (7) innings with no new inning starting at 2:00

Last batter at 2:10 time limit. Game cocludes after the last batter hs completed the at bat.

When the last batter is reached at 2:10 time and it is not the third out of the inning, the game will revert back to the previous completed inning.

No extra innings shall be played

No Run Rule

Team behind by 15 or more runs after 4 innings, the coach has the option of stopping the game at that point.

Home Team

Home team is determined by COIN TOSS prior to the game

Score is maintained by the HOME TEAM

Final Score

Winning team coach text final score to 520-730-2506

Standings will be maintained. Team in first place at end of the season will the fall league champions. There will be no post-season tournament. Players on the first place team will receive individual awards

Safety

Conduct

The fall league is a time of prepartion and development and there is no reason why any coach should get ejected, but if a coach decides to get ejected, the following penalty goes into affect (and there is no appeal)

Ejected coach must leave the field immediately and go directly to the parking lot and remain there for the remainder of the game. Out of sight, out of mind. suspension that is defined as not coming to the field in any capacity at the teams next scheduled game

Spectators may be ejected from the park that will require the individual(s) to leave the park immediately and go the parking lot. Failure to leave the park, local law enforcement will be called to assist in the the removal.

Player that gets ejected, is restricted to the bench for the remainder of the game and is not permitted to participate in the game in any capcity. If the player parent/guardian is present they are permitted to take the player and leave the park. The league will review the umpire report to determine if any further disciplinary action may be required.
