COVID-19 SAFETY AND HEALTH PRACTICE PLAN – Parent / Spectator

PARENT/SPECTATOR PRACTICE POINTS

  1. SELF ASSESSMENT/EVALUATION OF SYMPTOMS BEFORE YOU COME TO THE PARK
    • If you have any of the CDC identified symptoms—STAY HOME
  2. PHYSICAL DISTANCING:
    1. No more than 10 people in a group.
    2. Lawn chairs and pop up tents permitted, but are required to maintain six (6) feet between separate parties.
    3. Spectators are required to stay minimum 10 feet away on either side of the team dugout.
    4. Spectators are not permitted to be sitting directly behind the team dugout.
    5. Recommend if the park layout permits, to sit down the left and right field lines and in the outfield.
    6. Bleacher seating areas are not to be used.
    7. Avoid hand shaking, hugs, fist pumps or any physical contact with anybody.
  3. HYGIENE/HYDRATION/SANITIZING:
    1. Bring plenty of water/power drinks, etc. with you.  There is going to be no concessions on site.  Make sure beverage container has your name on it.
    2. Bringing coolers to game sites is permitted
    3. Provide and bring either hand sanitizer or container/spray bottle of liquid hand soap or dish detergent and water with cloth or paper towel to wash hands periodically.
    4. Picnic tables are at the parks, and they can be used unless they are marked off by the county that they cannot.  If you use a picnic table, it is recommended that you sanitize it down before using.  Recommend that you have a spray bottle or some form of sanitizing materials in your possession for this or any purpose that you may feel you need.
    5. NO SPITTING, seeds, gum, etc.
  4. WHEN TO WEAR FACE COVERING:
    1. Face coverings are required pursuant to Pima County Resolution 2020-96 for spectators, coaches, sports officials.  Due to increased risk of disease transmission at events, face coverings are to be worn at all times even if physical distancing can be maintained.
  5. RESTROOMS:
    1. Will be available at Sports Park and at metro Tucson facilities.
    2. Recommend the use of hand sanitizer after using the restroom.
  6. POST GAME:
    1. No hand- shakes, hugs, fist pumps or any physical contact with players and coaches.
    2. Pick up equipment, dispose of trash and leave the park.
    3. No loitering in common areas or parking lot.
    4. Parents: Your player’s uniform is recommended to be washed separately from regular family laundry.
  7. MONITORING:
    1. The league staff will be monitoring and enforcing mitigation measures.
    2. Any spectator that displays inappropriate, harassing, or intimidating behavior to any other individual, or who refuses to follow the Covid policies may be asked to leave the facility.  Repeated offenses may result in team being suspended from further play in the league.
