Coach Certification Program

EFFECTIVE DATE: January 1, 2015

OBJECTIVE: The Kino Baseball League will require that prior to the start of a season, that all non-high school team managers and at minimum one (1) assistant coach per team obtain on-line coaching certification. The objective of this certification is to assure that at minimum two members of a team’s coaching staff have training on the fundamentals of coaching, first aid and health principles. The league’s liability insurance carrier now requires that members of a coaching staff have some sort of on-line coaching certification. The approved on-line coaching certification programs are:

• Babe Ruth Baseball/Cal Ripken/American Sport Education Program
  • Coaching Advanced Baseball
  • Web site: www.baberuthleague.org
• National Federation High Schools (NFHS)
  • Accredited Interscholastic Certification (AIC)
  • Web site: www.nfhs.org

Individuals that take the on-line courses are responsible for payment of the course.
Upon satisfactory completion of the course, a copy of your certification must be sent to the league.
The certifications acquired are lifetime.
